Seldom do you have the chance to train with such a talented competitor, trainer and judge, who understands you and your horse. Doug will build confidence and achieve results.

"Doug never rushes a horse to do too much too soon, a training approach that isn't seen often enough. He is kind,

straightforward and methodical. Doug thinks long-term and waits for results."

Heather Mason - 'S' Dressage Judge and Grand Prix Dressage Rider and Trainer.

Before/After:

This may give you an idea of how much progress can be made in a short period of training. The following pictures are of Rocket over a eight month period, nothing short of remarkable. Not only a significant increase in muscle mass but also in his balance and movement. Rocket, owned by the Clover family of Oldwick NJ, came from a show jumping background with the intention of converting to eventing. He's made great strides with particular focus on suppling exercises, stretching and transitions in his dressage, as well as hill work and XC schooling experiences to markedly improve his overall base fitness. He has recently scored as high as 73% in dressage, with 3 9's in the collective remarks, this trend should no doubt continue.

The specific training program will be modified to suit your goals, and map out a path that will reach them with you and your horse feeling confident and relaxed. Whether FEI Dressage or Eventing all the horses are hacked out on trails once per week. Getting out of the ring and into the hills does wonders for their mental as well as their physical health and stamina.
